Peperonata is one of my favorite fall dishes, when peppers of all kinds are ripe and plentiful. I went to pick up my vegetable and fruit share in Palisade, at Cameron Place CSA yesterday, and I could not help being inspired by all the amazing produce available this time of the year. I picked up multicolored sweet bell peppers, hot serrano chiles and crisp Anaheims, as well as fantastic onion and tomatoes. Using all those in the Italian dish Peperonata was a fun project for a Sunday afternoon. I also decided to demonstrate the recipe tomorrow morning on my early spot at KKCO. I will post the recipe here and on facebook following the segment. In the meantime, my kitchen smells like an Italian Trattoria - heavenly....
